3/8/09 Andrew Richardson of CAT and others meeting in Unit 17 of the Forum to consider what displays and work will be needed.

30/7/09 Move equipment from Chatham Dockyard to Unit 22 The Forum. Transport and assistance from Gary and Chris from Bobbing Car Breakers. Labour from Joe Whitnell and Richard. DGB, Marie, Courtney, PM, AJW and PD of SHM all in attendance.  Forklift from Lebus engineering, other assistance from Wilkinsons and Somerfields

3/7/09 PD of SHM mailing members for potential volunteers for both conservation work and stewardship.

23/6/09 SHM DGB and CAT meet in Canterbury to discuss funding, and other matters.

18/6/09 SHM Group meet with DGB to view potential units at The Forum

6/6/09 At a special, Saturday meeting, SHM exec. committee approves the partnership with CAT and DGB's company for this project.

26/5/09 SHM, DGB and CAT meet to discuss how we can work together, and what premises we might be able to use. Considering old Woolworths building, old D&A Toys building and the Forum, believed to be owned by Tescos.

14/5/09 Dana Goodburn-Brown sends sketches of how the "CSI" workshop might look.

25/2/09 Second presentation by AR at Borden Grammar School - larger venue.

20/1/09 Presentation by Dr Andrew Richardson of Canterbury Archaeological Trust at The Avenue Theatre, Sittingbourne, to SHM and HRGS members and the public.  Covered the grave finds and the conservation work which would be taking place. SHM asked for names of potential volunteers for assistance in the conservation process. Many people turned away due to the limited size of the venue.

December 2008 - Conservator Dana Goodburn-Brown contacts Sittingbourne Heritage Museum with a view to cooperating on a project to undertake the conservation work in view of and with the involvement of the local community.

May to December 2008 - excavation of the site. over 220 graves are discovered. Over 2500 objects, including weapons and dress accessories are dicovered.

May 2008 - Work begins on development at the Meads, Sittingbourne. Almost immediately, it becomes apparent that a major Anglo Saxon cemetery is present on the site. Canterbury Archaeological Trust are monitoring the site.
