I live in Sittingbourne and can offer a couple of hours a week in support to the museum. Can I be of assistance ? Your help would be most welcome. There are opportunities to work on our archives, on research, as a Museum Guide, on Publicity and Secretarial work and in other ways. Please contact the Secretary.
What benefits do I gain from becoming a member of the museum ?

You are helping to maintain and preserve a record of our town's history and to support further research. We will keep you in touch through our website and our Journal as well as local events. We welcome your active participation. All our workers are volunteers. There is no public funding for this work.

I have completed a study of an aspect of Sittingbourne's history, would the museum like to have this for either the web site or for public exhibition ? Local studies are an important part of our archive material. Please contact us to discuss. Including possible publication e.g. in our Journal, if desired.

I am a teacher in Sittingbourne, and I am looking for a resource for my pupils who will be studying local history in the coming term. Can the museum help me ? Please contact the Secretary to discuss the period etc. We can arrange mobile displays
I am interested in the genealogy of my family, can you give me anything you may have on my family ? We are unable to undertake detailed family history research. Limited enquiries from readily available local sources can be considered. See also our links page. No professional researchers please.
